At this Spanish-Mediterranean style residence in the prestigious Hedwig Village neighborhood, the homeowners sought an experience that felt timeless, refined, and deeply connected to craftsmanship. Water Line Designs was brought in to design and build a series of water features that would harmonize with the estate’s grand scale and elegant architecture.

A defining aspect of the project is the meticulous selection of stone, which became central to both the design and the storytelling of the pool and spa. Reclaimed limestone from a French cathedral was chosen for the pool coping and paving, lending the outdoor spaces a sense of history and permanence. The raised spa features limestone walls crafted from the same stone as the home’s exterior, creating a seamless visual connection between the house and the landscape. To enhance the natural aesthetic, reclaimed concrete tiles were used for the waterline, giving the pool a grounded, organic feel while complementing the modern oasis design.

The spa spillway, repurposed from an antique European distillery, flows into the pool, adding character, history, and artistry. Throughout the grounds, three custom limestone fountains are positioned to draw the eye along the property’s natural axes, reinforcing a sense of proportion and timeless elegance.

The design balances the warm, textured elements of classic Spanish aesthetics—stone, water, and relief—with the clean refinement of contemporary detailing. Each water feature and material choice was intentional, anchoring gathering spaces, courtyards, and garden views with both beauty and purpose.
